To use the Dispensary Finder, sign in first.
This page explains how it works. The tool itself is inside your SeniorThrive account.
Dispensary Finder helps you keep dispensary information organized in one place.
Where to find it
Open Daily Life and choose Dispensary Finder. It is available on the web rather than in the app.
The first time you open it
The page asks before it shows you anything.
You will see a short explanation, and two choices: Turn on Cannabis Mode, or Not now, which simply takes you back to Daily Life. Nothing is switched on until you choose it, and choosing not to is a complete answer.
The page also says the two things worth saying plainly: cannabis laws vary by state and locality, so please follow the laws where you live, and keep any products locked away from children and pets.
Turning it off again
Use Turn Off at the top of the page whenever you like. Your saved list is kept, and you simply will not see the finder until you turn it back on.
What the listings actually are
This is the part to read carefully, because it sets what the page can and cannot do for you.
Listings come from a general business directory, the same sort of source behind an ordinary map search. SeniorThrive does not verify them. We do not check whether a dispensary is licensed, whether it is still trading, or whether what it lists is accurate.
So before you visit somewhere, check for yourself that it is licensed in your state. Your state's cannabis regulator publishes a list of licensed dispensaries, and that list is the one to trust rather than this page.
Results can also be incomplete. A search may miss a dispensary that exists, or turn up something that is not one. If a result looks wrong, it may well be.
Searching
The page uses your location to look nearby. You will see it tell you when it is getting your location, and it will say so plainly if your location is unavailable rather than quietly showing you somewhere else.
If a search comes back with No results, try a wider area or a different search term.
Keeping a list
You can save dispensaries so they stay in one place, and add online ones as well. Saved entries can be updated or removed later.
The practical value is the same as saving a pharmacy: the details are written down, so you are not hunting for a name or a phone number when you need it.
Talk to your doctor and your pharmacist
Worth doing, and worth doing before rather than after.
Cannabis can interact with prescription medicines, and a pharmacist can look at what you already take and tell you whether that matters for you. That is exactly the kind of question they are there for, and asking costs nothing.
SeniorThrive does not check this for you. We do not look at your medicine list against anything here, we do not flag interactions, and nothing on this page has been reviewed against your health. Please ask a professional rather than relying on us for that.
What this page is not
It is not medical advice and it is not a recommendation. SeniorThrive does not suggest cannabis, does not say it will help with anything, and takes no view on whether you should use it. Whether and how you do is between you and your doctor.
It also does not sell anything, order anything, or contact a dispensary for you. It is a place to look things up and write them down.
Who sees this
The same as everything else in SeniorThrive: only the people in your Circle you have chosen to share with. Nobody is told that you opened this page or turned the feature on.
