This page explains how it works. The tool itself is inside your SeniorThrive account.

Planning Ahead is a calm walk through how things stand financially. The page says it kindly: clarity brings confidence, so let us take a quiet look together.

Where to find it

Open Daily Life and choose Planning Ahead.

What it is

A set of gentle questions to help you see the whole picture in one place.

Most of us carry this around in pieces. A pension here, a policy in a drawer, a vague sense that something needs sorting. Seeing it laid out is usually a relief, and quite often things are in better shape than they felt.

It is yours alone

Nothing here is shared with your Circle because you filled it in. Nobody is notified, and no family member sees your answers.

That privacy is what makes it useful. You can be completely straightforward with yourself, which is the only way this kind of exercise tells you anything worth knowing.

Take it at your own pace

There is no need to do this in one go, and no prize for speed. A section at a time, on a day when you feel like it, works perfectly well.

If you come to a question you cannot answer yet, that is fine. Noticing "I do not know where that paperwork is" is genuinely useful progress, and it is often the most valuable thing a page like this gives you.

What it does not do

It does not give financial advice, and it will not tell you what to do with your money. It does not connect to your bank, move anything, or sign you up to anything.

For decisions that matter, a qualified adviser is the right person, and walking in with a clear picture already in hand makes that conversation much shorter and much more useful.

What to do with what you find

If something needs attention, note where things are kept in Where to find things, part of My Final Wishes under Family & Friends. That is the page your family would follow when the time comes.

Keep the rule that runs through all of SeniorThrive: record where a thing is and who to ask, never a password, a PIN or a card number.

A good moment to do this

There is rarely a perfect one, so any quiet afternoon will do. People most often say they wish they had looked sooner, and almost nobody regrets having a clear picture.
