This page explains how it works. The tool itself is inside your SeniorThrive account.

Find Rides gathers the ways of getting about into one page, so you can see what is available near you without hunting for it.

The page puts it well: stay independent, go where you want, when you want.

Where to find it

Open Daily Life and choose Find Rides.

What it gives you

A look at the ride options available to you, in one place, so you can pick the one that suits the journey.

Different trips suit different answers. A hospital appointment where you will be tired afterwards is a different problem from popping to the shops on a fine morning, and it is genuinely helpful to have the choices side by side rather than trying to remember them all.

Booking

SeniorThrive shows you the options. Arranging the ride itself happens with the service you choose, so you stay in charge of the details: when, where, and who you are comfortable travelling with.

Worth knowing before the day

A little preparation makes any of these easier, and it is the kind of thing that is much nicer to sort out in advance than on the morning.

Have your address written down somewhere you can read it out. Know roughly what the journey should cost. And if it is an appointment, think about the trip home as well as the trip there, since that is the half people usually forget.

If you would rather not go alone

Someone in your Circle may be glad to come with you, and often they would like to be asked. Who to turn to, under Family & Friends, is a good place to keep a note of who is usually free for that sort of thing.

Giving up driving is not giving up going out

If you have stopped driving, or you are thinking about it, this page exists so that decision costs you as little as possible.

Plenty of people find their world stays exactly as wide as it was, once they have a couple of reliable ways of getting about that they trust. Sorting out the transport first is what makes the rest feel like a choice rather than a loss.
