An advisor gifted me a membership. How does that work?

You use SeniorThrive normally and they pay. They are not in your Circle and cannot see anything private. If it ends you keep everything and move to the Free plan.

You use SeniorThrive exactly as anyone else does. They pay for it. That is genuinely the whole arrangement.

The account is yours

Your login, your Circle, your choices about what is shared and with whom. Nobody set it up on your behalf in a way that leaves them holding a key.

You invite whoever you want. You remove whoever you want. The advisor is not involved in any of it.

What they cannot see

Your health information, your medications, your Room Check, your messages, your notes.

Not because a setting is turned off, but because a sponsor is not a member of your Circle and cannot be added to one. There is no switch to check, and nothing on the other side of it.

They see that the membership is active and being used. That is what they are paying for and it is where it stops.

Why an advisor would do this

Aging at home is a financial question as much as a health one, and an advisor whose client stays safe and independent for longer has done their job well. Sponsoring the tool is cheaper for them than the alternative, and useful to you either way.

You are not obliged to them for it, and it does not entitle them to anything about your health.

If the sponsorship ends

Nothing is deleted and your account is not closed. You move to the Free plan, which never expires, and everything you recorded stays.

If you want the paid features back at that point, you can take over the payment yourself from Billing.
