How do I invite a professional caregiver, and how is it different?

From Caregiver Access, not from Our People. A caregiver seat is $15 a month, paid by the family, and does not use one of your family seats.

Written by Brian Fluhr

A hired caregiver joins through a different door from a family member, and the differences all follow from one thing: they are doing paid work, not being family.

How to invite one

  1. Go to Caregiver Access.

  2. Find an open seat and choose Assign Caregiver.

  3. Enter their details. We email them an invitation.

Their link is good for 7 days, shorter than a family invitation, because the seat carries access to health information.

What is different

  • It does not use a family seat. Caregivers are counted separately, so adding one never costs you room for a relative.

  • It costs $15 a month, on top of your Essential plan, and the family pays it. The caregiver pays nothing to use SeniorThrive.

  • It records visits. A caregiver seat logs each visit, where a family member just leaves a note.

  • They cannot invite anybody. A caregiver works inside the Circle and cannot add people to it.

  • You need Essential. A caregiver seat cannot be bought on its own, and there is no free trial for one.

When the work ends

Find their active seat and choose Remove Access. It ends there and then, and the seat returns to open so you can assign it to somebody else.
