Pattern Flow is the most classic-feeling of the brain games. You watch a short sequence of lights or shapes. Then you repeat it back. Each round, the sequence gets one step longer.
It is the kind of game you remember from the 1970s electronic toy that beeped, brought into a calmer, friendlier version.
Where to find it
Go to Activities → Brain Games, and tap Pattern Flow.
How to play
Tap Play.
Watch the sequence. Shapes or colors will light up, one after another.
When it finishes, tap them back in the same order.
If you get it right, the next round adds one more step.
If you miss, the game ends that round. You can play again any time.
Adaptive difficulty
Pattern Flow adjusts to you. If you are getting sequences right with ease, the speed picks up slightly, or the pattern complexity grows. If you are struggling, it slows down and keeps the patterns simpler.
You do not have to do anything to trigger this. The game watches how you are doing and adjusts quietly in the background.
What it trains
Memory. Holding a sequence in your head long enough to reproduce it.
Visual thinking. Connecting shape, color, and position in space.
Noticing details. Sequences are similar from round to round, so small differences matter.
How long a session takes
Three to five minutes, depending on how far you get. Each round is brief, and you can stop after any round. Many people play two or three rounds in a session and call it done.
A few small tips
Say the pattern out loud in your head as it plays. "Red, blue, green, red." That verbal echo helps most people hold the sequence longer.
Do not rush the reply. There is no time pressure on your side. Take a breath, picture the sequence, then tap.
Play when your mind is fresh. Morning coffee time, or after a short walk, is usually better than late at night.
If you miss, do not scold yourself. Missing is part of the game.
Pattern Flow unlocks Steady Hands Garden
Playing Pattern Flow at least once is one of three games needed to unlock Steady Hands Garden, the calmer garden game. The other two are Mini Sudoku and Match & Go. Play each once and a small celebration will appear.
A round of Pattern Flow contributes to your ThriveScore like every finished game. Five minutes well spent.
