Adding a dog to SeniorThrive

Meals, walks, vet details, vaccines. Here is how to set up a dog in My Pets so the routines are easy to keep and easy to share with a pet sitter.

To add your dog, sign in first.

This page explains how it works. The tool itself is inside your SeniorThrive account.

A dog in the home changes a day. The morning walk. The way they know when you are upset. The small ritual of feeding at the same time each night. My Pets is built to support that, not replace it.

My Pets is part of Essential, and pauses on the Free plan.

Where to add

  1. Open Daily Life and tap My Pets.

  2. Tap Add Your First Pet, or Add Another Pet if you already have one, and choose Dog.

  3. Fill in their name. Breed, age and weight are optional.

  4. Add a photo. Every time you open their page, that picture will be waiting.

  5. Work through the short steps for vet details, vaccines and medications, insurance, and daily care, then tap Add Pet.

What is worth writing down for a dog

  • Feeding. Brand, cup size, how many times a day, any treats or supplements. Feeding Instructions is the section a pet sitter will thank you for.

  • Walks. How often, how far, and anything to know on the way. Exercise Needs is the place for it.

  • Vaccines and medications. Including flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Add the date given and the next date due, and your dog's card shows when one is coming up or overdue.

  • Vet details. Your vet's name, phone and address, so they are handy when you need them.

  • Behavior notes. Any new anxiety, change in appetite, limping, or house accidents. A short note the day you notice something can help when you talk to the vet later.

  • Grooming. Nail trims, baths, hair cuts. Write the routine in Additional Notes so whoever is helping knows it.

A care sheet for whoever is helping

When a family member or neighbor is covering for you, tap Share with pet sitter on your dog's card. SeniorThrive puts together a care sheet with your dog's name, your vet, and the daily care instructions you wrote. Private details stay out unless you tick them. Send it by text, by email, or copy it.

Sharing your dog with the family

If you choose to share your pets with your Circle in Settings, under Privacy & Sharing, your family can see them too. A photo of the latest walk in Shared Photos is the kind of small note that keeps people close.

The bigger point

Dogs bring structure, companionship, and a reason to be outside. SeniorThrive is just here to make their care feel organized instead of overwhelming.
