Your plan and billing, explained plainly

Essential is $29 a month, or $290 a year, and covers two people. Everyone after that is a seat. Here is what you pay, when billing starts, how to manage it, and what happens if you cancel.

SeniorThrive has one paid plan. It is called Essential, it costs $29 a month or $290 a year, and it covers two people: your older adult and one other person.

There is also a Free plan that stays free forever and never asks for a card.

Here is the honest, plain version of how billing works.

What it costs

  • Free: $0, forever.

  • Essential: $29 a month, or $290 a year.

  • Each of the first three extra people in your circle: $10 a month each.

  • Each person after that: $5 a month each.

  • A professional caregiver: $15 a month each.

Paying yearly is the same as paying for ten months instead of twelve. Two months free, or $58 a year saved, depending on how you like to think about it.

Seats are always billed monthly, even if you pay for Essential annually. If you pay yearly and still see a monthly charge for your seats, that is correct, not a mistake.

Working out your bill

Start at $29. Add $10 for each of the first three extra people. Add $5 for anyone after that.

A family of six looks like this:

  • $29 covers Mom and her daughter

  • $10 + $10 + $10 for three more family members

  • $5 for a sixth person

  • $64 a month

One thing worth knowing: the $5 rate does not apply backwards. When the fourth extra person joins, the first three stay at $10 each.

When billing starts

Your 14 free days come first, and no credit card is needed to start them.

When the 14 days begin depends on who signed up first.

  • If your older adult signed up, the 14 days start the day they created their account.

  • If you signed up first as a family member, nothing starts yet. There is no countdown while you get things ready on your own. Your 14 days begin the day your loved one joins, and you both get the full 14 days together.

This is intentional. We do not want you feeling rushed to convince a parent before you are ready, or paying for a plan that is not being used.

When the 14 days end, nothing disappears. Your account moves to the Free plan, which is free forever.

Adding a professional caregiver

If you hire a professional caregiver, you can add them to your circle for $15 a month. The caregiver pays nothing. You pay $15 a month for each one you invite.

A caregiver seat is not a family seat. It opens a different app, built for someone doing this as their job, with shift handoffs, visit notes, and a verified record of each visit. A caregiver has to be invited by the family, and the family has to be on Essential.

Where to manage billing

Tap your name in the top corner of your dashboard and open Billing. You will see:

  • Your current plan and charge.

  • Your payment method.

  • Your billing history.

  • Options to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.

Who pays, in a family

Most families have one person take on the bill, usually the adult child who set things up. It goes on their card, and siblings settle up separately if they want to.

Canceling

You can cancel at any time. There is no penalty, no early termination fee, no awkward phone call.

When you cancel:

  • Your plan stays active through the end of the period you paid for.

  • After that, your circle moves to the Free plan, which is free forever.

  • Your older adult keeps their data. Their ThriveScore. Their Room Check reports. Everything.

  • You can come back any time and turn Essential back on. Nothing is lost.

If circumstances change

If your loved one passes away, or moves to a care setting where SeniorThrive no longer fits, reach out. Many families want to keep the messages and the photos, and we will work out the right arrangement with you rather than handing you a form.

Everything about billing is designed to be fair, clear, and flexible. If anything is unclear, tap Avery, and we will walk through it with you.
