Your privacy, your data, and what we do not do

SeniorThrive is built on the principle that your information belongs to you. Here is what that means in practice.

Written by Brian Fluhr

If you are hesitant about a senior-focused technology product because you do not want to be watched, tracked, or sold to, this article is for you.

SeniorThrive does not monitor you

There are no always-on cameras. There are no microphones listening in. There is no system watching your movements, logging your whereabouts, or tracking your steps in the background.

The only time SeniorThrive uses your camera is when you take a photo for a Home Safety Check. You point the camera, you tap the button, you see the photo, you choose whether to use it. Nothing else happens.

Your data is yours, and we do not sell it

We do not sell your information. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to insurance companies. Not to anyone, under any circumstance. This is not a legal loophole or a "we may share with partners" footnote. It is a flat no.

Your data lives in an encrypted, secure database. The only people who can see any piece of it are the people you choose to share it with.

You decide who sees what

Your Circle is the small group of people you invite to see parts of your SeniorThrive. Maybe your daughter. Maybe a caregiver. Maybe no one at all.

For each person you invite, you decide exactly what they can see. Your medications, yes or no. Your Daily Check-In, yes or no. Your emergency information, yes or no. Each kind of information has its own switch.

You can change your mind at any time, for any reason. Flip a switch off tonight and they no longer see that thing starting tomorrow.

One narrow exception, and why

There is one narrow exception to all of this. In a genuine emergency, like a fall or a distress signal, SeniorThrive may share the minimum information needed to help you, even with someone you had previously set to see nothing. This is called safety bypass.

It exists for one reason: the most important thing about your Circle is that the people in it can actually help you when you really need them to. In a crisis, a technicality should not stand in the way.

You can leave any time

If you ever want to stop using SeniorThrive, you can close your account and take your data with you. You can export everything you have created. You can delete everything we have. We make this easy because we believe you should be able to.

Your information is your information. That is the entire principle.
