Your Circle is the small group of people who can see parts of your SeniorThrive. A daughter who worries about you. A son who lives two time zones away. A neighbor who checks in on Tuesdays. A caregiver who comes in the mornings.
The people in your Circle are there to help. And you are in charge of what they see.
Adding someone
To add a person, open My Circle from your sidebar and tap Invite someone. You will need their name and either an email address or a phone number.
They will get a short, friendly invitation. When they accept, they become part of your Circle.
Most people start with one or two. Essential covers you and one other person; anyone beyond that is a seat at $10 a month each for the first three, then $5 a month. A Circle can hold up to twelve people in total. If you genuinely need more than that, write to us rather than working around it.
Choosing what they see
Here is where you take your time.
For each person in your Circle, you decide exactly what they can see. You might share your Daily Check-In with your daughter, so she knows you are doing well today. You might share your medication list with a caregiver, so she can help with reminders. You might share your emergency information with everyone, so anyone can help if something happens.
You might also share nothing at all with someone, except the fact that they are on your list. That is a perfectly good choice, too.
Each kind of information has its own switch. Flip a switch off, and that person no longer sees that information from that moment on.
Changing your mind
This is important.
You can change what any person sees at any time, for any reason, without having to explain yourself. Turn a switch off tonight, turn it back on tomorrow, or leave it off forever. The choice is yours, and it does not hurt anyone's feelings, because no one gets a notification when you change something.
Your Circle is yours. You are not obligated to share anything with anyone. The point of the feature is to make it easier to share when you want to, and easier to stop sharing when you do not.
If an advisor gave you your membership
Some families come to SeniorThrive through a financial advisor or another professional who sponsors the membership. A sponsor is not in your Circle and cannot be added to it.
They can see that the membership is active and being used. They cannot see your health information, your medications, your Room Check, your messages, or your notes. That is not a setting you have to find and switch off. They are not in the Circle, so there is nothing to switch.
A note about safety
One exception to all of this. If there is ever a true emergency, like a fall or a distress signal, SeniorThrive may share the minimum information needed to help you, even with someone you have set to see nothing. This is called safety bypass, and it exists because the most important thing about your Circle is that the people in it can help you when you really need them to.
You can read more about how safety bypass works in the Privacy section of your Preferences.
The people matter most
Technology is only the frame. The picture is the people. Your Circle works best when it is built on real relationships, real trust, and a real conversation with the people you invite.
Take a moment, before or after you invite someone, to tell them what they mean to you. That is the part SeniorThrive cannot do for you. It is also the part that matters most.
